69 Passenger side storage tray date code.

How does the date code work on these storage trays? I came across one with the numbers [2 1 3178] on the bottom and was wondering how to read that.

January 31, 1978, Greg. The first number is some kind of internal code, line, shift or somethings. Perhaps John Hinkley can tell us. To add to a thread last week, what is the material and depth of the tray.

Thanks Reba, I don't know what the depth is yet but it is made of the fiberboard material. I was waiting for a reply on the depth. It's way too late for my early 69 but at least now I know how to read the dates!

The "2" is most likely a shift indication, but that's a guess; my knowledge falls off rapidly after 1967
