I just bought some PPG Duracryl laquer and it says on the laberl that is must be clear coated. I had bought some PPG laquer last year and it didn't say that on the label. Have they taken something out of the paint or is it the same and I can not use clear coat and still get it to shine?

I was on PPGs website yesterday and I saw that they have Duracryl in a Base Coat/Clear Coat system. Perhaps you bought Base Coat instead of Single Stage Lacquer?

Bill is absolutely correct. They have their base coat in three systems, DAU, DDL and DBC.
