Hi,
Preparing my '59 for the Winter Regional. After reading through the Judging Reference Manual I'm a bit stumped on this. My car has a 3756519 block from a 61 Corvette. It is cast J200(Oct 20, 1960), 110xxxx FI026CU(2x4,270hp,4spd). This was in it when I bought the car in 1986. I know that the engine block part#(519) is correct, then next the cast date is judged. Since it's not correctly dated, I will take the full deduction for that and the stamp pad will not be judged and take the appropriate deductions.
1- My stamp pad is painted and I don't really want to clean it all off if it won't be judged. Will I take a hit because it's painted?
2- Does the engine judging stop there or will the rest of the engine ancillaries be judged? Like intake/exhaust manifolds, carburetors, generator, shielding, air cleaner, etc, etc? I'm figuring they "are" judged based on the fact the mnual does not specifically state the opposite.
Thanks,
Rich
p.s. I got lost in the archives trying to find this answer. Sure would help if we had a FAQ page.
