    '56-'57 judges at FL Regional?

Can someone provide me with a list of judges names that will be judging the '56 - '57s in FL please?
    Thanks.

Re: '56-'57 judges at FL Regional?

At a Regional Meet the National Team Leader (in this case John St. Peter) makes an 'input' to the Meet Judging Chairman (Thom Warren) and together it's decided who's judging what/where. BUT, these lists are almost never finalized until the meet convenes because some have conflicts and don't show up and/or some schedules are freed in the 11th hour and they arrive/register on the spot.

At this point in time, I suspect all Thom can tell you is who he's 'thinking' of putting in what role...

Jack, I know from previous regionals that would be the case, but with this rather high profile regional I thought there might be a fairly established team that have done it together for the last several year. Somewhat similar to the BG teams. I appreciate your input. Thanks.

Gary, I'm sure BG judges are very good,...

...however, they only judge once a year. NCRS judging is ongoing all year long with many events, many schools, Chapter, Regional & National events. I am confident, given the popularity of the Orlando event, the judging most likely will be pretty close to NCRS National quality judging. On the other hand, I might ask you to define "high profile Regional" - just for fun... Dennis

My understanding for years since I was the judging chairman, is that lists of those registered with request to judge is sent to the division leaders and they make choices for team members from that with contacts to desirees prior to establishing the team. That's the way it's been for years.

            P.S.

Actual teams of judges may not be fully established until during the meet. It would be somewhat irregular to post the team members names prior to the meet.

Re: Gary, I'm sure BG judges are very good,...

Dennis, Thanks. I am familiar with the judging process having gone through a few regional and chapter judging meets.

My interest in knowing who the team might be is because I sold my BG/top Flight/ Triple '56 a couple of months ago and had hoped to be in FL with the new owner for his first judged event. As it turns out now I can't make it but have offered to be near my cell phone if he has any questions during the judging. I have gotten to know several of the regional and national levels judges either through my own networking or through having judged at BG and VetteFest. Just wanted to know who might be judging my old car in case I am asked to answer any questions over the phone.

BTW- I don't know much of the history of the FL winter meet, but always found it interesting that unlike the other regional meets that move around, this one is always in the same location every year. I don't have a problem with that and I would bet that the other southern regionals are just as good, but the FL regional does seems to get a lot of "play" and probably for a very good reason. Reasons I hope to see first hand some day, just unfortunately not this year.

Gary, OK. Two topics... Short Answers...

#1 - Take the batteries out of both cell phones. If I'm judging, it's an easy 100 point deduct for each cell phone call regarding judging, before judging, during judging or after judging. Batteries OUT, pretty simple... That wonderful person on the other end of the telephone line is only going to upset me.

#2 - Florida is warm in the winter. NCRS judges like warm in the winter. So, we keep going back in the winter to where its warm in the winter.

                Gary, Best Regards, Dennis

                    Gary, Forgot One Item...

...Florida provides a very good swap meet. The best of any regular NCRS meet I've ever attended by far. No Carlisle for sure, but a nice addition to the event.
