    Muncie removal

How much does a 63 Muncie weigh? And, on a totally subjective basis, scale of 1 -10, how difficult is removal and replacement using jack stands? Thanks

    Re: Muncie removal

    Jim,

    Approximately 90 lbs.

Not too hard to remove. A little harder to get back in.
I would give it "4 wrenches" on the difficulty scale.
Put the car up pretty high on the stands for best leverage to lift it down. (There isn't enough room for a transmission jack to be helpful in my opinion.)
Tape a baggie over the tail case output shaft opening to avoid a lot of leakage, even if the case is drained first.

        Tom,

They seem to get heavier as I get older.
