    AC Compressor / Label

Someone was asking about this last week. Here are some pictures of my original small block compressor / label. The black finish is not really as glossy as the brake booster, but not as flat as the frame etc. It's more of a satin finish I guess you could call it. I recall from one of the judging schools I attended where we compared original and repro labels - the difference is in the color of the green. The originals are more of a grassy green, where as the repro were a brighter metallic green. You can see the font from the photos below. I don't know what current font would replicate this however. One other thing I just noticed when looking at my label is the upside down 741 in the green portion of the label. I don't recall if the repro's have that or not.

    Re: AC Compressor / Label

As far as any repo labels that I have seen when put side by side of known originals they should get a deduction as the size of the font or spacing or color is off. This is for 70's cars.

      Re: Pictures

Juliet, Nice code (jan.9th 1970, 1st shift) Great pictures as usual. You should put out an instructional manual that explains step by step to us more or less computer chalanged people, how to do the picture's on the board.
You should glue that tear back together on the label.
