    '62 Head bolts

My engine is at the rebuilders or I would just head to the garage to see what the exact marks should be on the head bolts of '62 ser. no. 399. Any help? Paragon says to ask a qualified judge for the correct bolt.

I'm not a "qualified judge", either now or at any previous time. However, I'll offer this: I would expect the head bolts to be trimmed (i.e. "non-indented") head with a prominently raised circumferential circle. TYPICAL center headmarks for the period would be "C" or "A". However, others were likely used, too. GM was using these bolts by the MILLIONS during that period and probably had several suppliers at any given time. The only way to know, for sure, what manufacturer's markings were originally used on any given engine is to have the original bolts from that engine.
