Got 5 new 205x75r15 1" Coker whitewalls for the coupe last week. The old 215x75r15 Coopers were aged and hard as a rock. But the new 205 spare won't fit in the tub.
I even tried getting my 59s' 670x15 Allstate bias ply in the tub as a spare for our ride out for the evening last night(sorry, weather's real nice here). I tried getting that in and the cover closed, even letting some air out(to 20 lbs). No luck. The outer circumference is too tight. What's with that?
The original BFG Silvertown mounted on a rally wheel was in there when we bought the car, 50% worn but it fit.
Suggestions? Maybe I need a space saver!
