Greg--Not sure exactly what you're asking---beyond that it indicates that yours is the 3,801st 69 manufactured.

Unlike modern cars 69 Corvettes do not have numbers or letters in the vin#s that indicate equipment such as engine or HP. As previously stated the only thing that you can determine from the vin# is the build sequence. From that you can determine the build date using some of the online birthday calendars.

The only way you can determine original equipment is from documentation that you could get with the car usually a tank sticker or dealer invioce or some factory documentation. Baring that you need to talk to original owners who you track down by working backward one owner at a time. This is usually an impossible task but it can be done. You can search previous posts for some hints and some odesseys.
