We have looked at four 57 fuel cars. I know of a real good one in Pittsburg, PA, but the buyer doeswant to pay the 135 asking price. So far, every 70 to 90 car has had major problems. He owns a 55 that was restored by Dave Ferguson years ago. I told him if he wants that kind of quality, get out the "Big" checkbook.

Jim, VIN # too early for an original 4 speed car. 2nd - would have to make sure it's a "real" radio delete car. 3rd - need FI unit # & distributor # to make sure what HP it is. And last can't tell if it's a heater delete and/or washer delete. If it is would have to verify those as well. Post all of the details when you find out. The OK NCRS Chapter Chairman lives in Tulsa as well as couple of other well known NCRS members. Gary....
Thanks Gary. MANY good old cowboys out there that helped write the book on 57 fuel cars. I have owned nine 57's in my lifetime....six were fuel injected...one of my favorites.

Jim, yes you did and we're all thankful for your experience and what you've done for NCRS and our hobby. Just was pointing out the most obvious things I couldn't tell for sure from the "not close up" photos in the e-bay ad. Am sure Verle and others will be glad to help out if needed. Regards, Gary....
The owner deals in muscle cars of all kinds, has recently joined NCRS and wants to have the 57 judged. He also owns a black/red 56 that is not as nice a car...nice driver condition.
I have looked casually at the 57 car. It is a very nicely done car but I cannot verify that it is all correct. It is presented as a 283 HP.
Depending on the selling price, this would be a good starting place for a correct car but that would have to be verified by thorough inspection/judging.
