C3 Spring Suggestions

Need to replace the spring on the underneath side of the seats that returns the seat adjuster handle to the seat lock position. What have others found works for this application? thanks.

I found that extra seat tracks were so plentiful that I just picked up a pair cheap at Carlisle (or, this time of year, on eBay) and used the parts I needed.

I suspect a well stocked non-Big-box hardware store may have a short term acceptable substitute if you need one.

GM #3918611 if you can find any. They've been discontinued a long time now. I agree with Patrick, though; you'll easily be able to find a suitable spring in a good hardware store.

They make very accurate reporduction of the spring in catalogs. Just buy one and slip it on. You may have to slide the seat completely forward to get your hand under the seat. Terry
