'66 427 intake info

I have just cleaned out a storage unit that I purchased full of GM A body parts. In all the parts I found a cast iron GM BIg Block intake. I am not the guy that is into date codes and casting numbers. I build and fabricate street rods and custom muscle cars. But I also do not like to throw out much needed or hard to find items either. From what I can tell this intake is a '65-'66 by the date code but is for a Holley carb. I think this is a 427 intake for '66. I do not think they offered the '65 396 with a Holley ( But I am not sure of this). The date code is D 12 5 and the casting number is 3866948. If anyone can offer any info or is interested and can use this intake please contact me. The intake is in good condition, although it has a ear around a bolt hole that is broken. it is one of the bolt holes between intake runners. My email is macogansstreetrods@yahoo.com

The 3866948 was a four hole manifold designed to accept a Holley squarebore carburetor. The word Holley is actually cast into the top. It was used on '65 passenger 396/325; early '66 passenger 396/325 and 427/390; '66 Chevelle 396/325 w/o air injection, and 396/360 all; '67 Chevelle 396/350; and '66-'67 Corvette 427/390.

I guess my next question would be, Is this a common intake to find and I quess if it came on Chevelles as well I may want to hold on to it for future usage. I am just starting to get into some restoration projects and have lots to learn about rpo codes and such. I am really focusing on 1970-72 A body, But I am finding out that in 69-70 there was not alot of documetation that actually told what was on the car. other than a build sheet, the vin plates are not much use.
