Looking for C2 Font for MS WORD

I'm working on a sign board design over the winter for my '63 when I go to car shows.

It would be nice to find a MS WORD font with the script "Corvette" for 1963.

Does anyone know where online to find one?

When we redesigned the logo for The Corvette Restorer, in 2004 I think, the graphics for the word "Corvette" had to be designed especially for us. A member who is in the graphics field did it for the club -- modeled after a later C2 logo. My guess is that you will have to find someone who will make the graphic for you, but then of course, it will be a graphics box and not MS Word. Unless a lot has changed in the graphics world in the last four or five years this rapidly becomes beyond a DIY project unless one has a lot of professional skills, software, and hardware.

Scan in what you need and then treat it as a photo and edit it, resize, etc. Once complete, use "insert" to get it into a WORD document.

I need to compose a "new document" with the font not use an image.

                Jack,

What they're trying to say is that you can scan in the "Corvette" logo from somewhere else, and then cut-and-paste it into your Word document as an image. That's the easy way to get the exact "Corvette" onto your posterboard - just like I did below.

If you are trying to do the whole document in a font similar to that used in the word "Corvette" then I suspect you will either be looking a long time, or may be disappointed in what you find. To find the exact font will take a while. I know - I've spent hours looking for just the "right" font for certain applications.

I understand what you and others are saying but I'm looking for the latter item you describe.

I understand that I may be looking for a while but that is OK.

                    Jack,

I suspect the "Corvette" script was the hand work of a designer and was freely formed rather than being from a font file. In 1965 or 66 when these things were designed, computers were not widely used for design work. You might have found some 'word processors' and electric typewriters. Whatever you do, keep a list and folder of fonts you find that are close.

                    Good luck, Kent

PS - I think I had, at one time, over 700 fonts for Word on another computer. If you want me to look for and email them, send me an email with you're address.
