C3 Seat Frames

Are the same seat frames used on 1974 and 1978 or is there a differance? Will the foam be the same? I have a chance to get used seats from a bud at no $'s and wondering if they'll do me any good. THANKS....Marty

I know for a fact that 78 Pace Car seat tracks are different than 78 and earlier tracks as well as the frame. I looked at this once before and concluded they are similiar but than I've not attempted an interchange.

The seat frames, adjusters, seat cushions, and related parts are substantially different between 1974 and 1978. I don't think there are any interchangeable parts. However, I think it would be possible to adapt the COMPLETE 1978 seat assemblies to a 1974 without too much trouble. I can tell you for certain, though, that unless there are some totally blind judges judging 1974's, they'll not be fooled on this one.
