Can anyone tell me what this code is on my reg.? 1119 then no other codes. Underneath that is the code I68 E or is it 168 E? This is for a '62, #399.

That's the part number, which is incorrect for a 62. It should be a 1111002E on one flange, with the date like 1K on the other flange. The 168E is a 35-amp regulator, if I recall (and 62 called for a 35amp reg, not 30amp, like most of the previous years). -

I know the numbers don't seem to match up,but the indications of the mounting seems to be original. Things like wire to mounting screw patina, paint, etc. Where are the dates on this reg.supposed to be? The original 174 gen. is in use.Comment

As I mentioned, on the flange opposite the one with the part number. (Just on the other side of the mounting bolt in the center.Comment

Got it. It must be the one that is marked 2D which is right below the 12V. NEG.Comment
