Re: C5 Battery
Tom,
If your battery is the factory installed original, I'd replace it. Six to seven years is pretty good service. You might first try a different charger. The trickle/smart chargers use solid state components which can be affected by temperature or just plain fail.

I strongly suspect that you need a new battery. However, you could try putting it on a regular charger (i.e. 10 or 20 amp) and see if it brings it up. If it does, but the same problem crops up again, then you definitely need to forget this one and get a new one.
Often times, it's MUCH better to just replace a battery on a periodic basis and not wait until it fails. When it fails, it might be in a circumstance that's going to create a nerve-wracking situation. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C5 Battery
most oem batteries last about 3 years . my 2001 110,000 mile truck still had its orig. I changed it this fall just to be safe . Be sure to check your cable bolts for corrosion .Leakage at the battery terminal is the major cause of battery failure....Bill- Top
