Q-Jet Stampings - Opinions Please

While trying to help another poster on this board locate a 7028208 carb for his '68 327/300 auto, I came across a 7028209 (427/390) carb on E-Bay.

I shot the E-Bay seller a question to see if he had a 7028208 carb. He replied that he had one in stock for $200, & I notified the other poster and asked the seller for pics of the carb.

My question is, after looking @ the pitures of the 209 carb he has listed, do the stampings look correct? It almost seems like the stamping font is different

Any thoughts? I don't want to help someone find a bogus part.

When I first looked at the listing, I thought that the numbers were not level- the "9" seemed lower than the rest and the "D" and "G" also were off. Then I read the "Discloseure" statement- this is a restamped unit. Don't bother.
Just my opinion.
