Judging by the cove emblem, this might well
be the Jerry Earl/Jim Jeffords/?/?/Rich Mason car, but I think it is more likely to be the "Boulevard" SR-2 built for Harlow Curtice. I would believe it likely that ONLY the Curtice SR-2 would have ever had a softtop. That would make this the car now owned by Richard Fortier(sp?).- Top

Re: I've only seen one C.I. T-10 also - Joe's
I talked to a local trans guy tonite who said he just bought a Cast iron t-10. It has Corvette numbers but a 59-60 dating. It came out of Ohio but has been in a garage in Fl for 30 years. The guy who had it was associated with somebody racing out of Ohio in the 60s. He is supposed to bring me the numbers at the meet this week and I will try to get him to take some pictures. I am a little confused as youall seem to be talking 56-57 time frame and this is a later item.

Re: I've only seen one C.I. T-10 also - Joe's
The unique part is the cast iron tail shaft ( among other things like larger cross shafts that came from the 3 spd )..the main case remained cast iron for several years...but the tail shaft became aluminum almost if not immediatley for production.
Others can be more precise when the maincase became aluminum ( 62/63? )
Tyler..I am coming to Orlando Wednesday and will be at the Comfort Suites. Maybe your friend has a T-10 with a combination of parts from different years..
Check the tailshaft to see if it is cast iron and also check to see if it has an 0 dash part #. The stamped assembly date on the maincase would also be important.
I will ask Tower what he has in the SR2.

I believe all T-10's had a cast iron main case through November or December 1960, when it changed to aluminum (T10-1C case), and all (production) T-10's had an aluminum tailhousing from 1957-up (the T10-7 housing in 1957).- Top
