are these bushings compressed? I want to jack up car and rteplace bushings on my lower shafts. If I jack body up to take weight off front end, can I un bolt and bolt on new bushings? Can anyone help me.
Yes, they're under full stress from the springs. The springs have to come out first before you can remove the lower control arms and replace the bushings. You can't do this job with the springs and control arms still on the car.
