    C3 1969 Rear End Code

    On a 427/390 hp 69 with THM transmission and a 3:08 gear rate what should the rear end code be? Looking at the judging manual I only see a 3:36 or a 2:72 listed with a THM transmission. My car was originally delivered with a 3:08 as I have the GM Canadian paperwork. Vin is 23XXX birthday books shows June 30, 1969 production. GM paperwork shows shipped to Canada July 02, 1969

    Mr. Lucia can you shed some light on this?

      I would opine that the code should be "AW" or "AV". I've never been able to figure out just what the difference was between these 2 codes.
