AIR system and TI ignition system 1971 LT-1

Am getting ready to install the AIR system and the TI ignition system. Need help/pictures on where all the AIR hoses go and how to hook up the TI harness. Have the new amplifier installed but Bubba removed the old harness and installed a flame thrower system. Not sure where all the wires connedc from the TI harness. I also have the CEC solenoid and found those wires--they were cut but would like some pictures of how it is mounted to the holley carb. I hope someone with a 1971 LT-1 can help me out--pictures appreciated.
    Thanks Paul

The AIR system installation is shown in the 1971 AIM Assembly Instruction Manual. I know the TI system is harder to find, and less well illustrated in the AIM.
One should be cautious basing their restoration on a one-car example. There are for example two different designed for the labeling on the CEC solenoid during 1971. Be sure that the example(s) you use are correct for your car. Others with a better knowledge of 1971s may chose to point out other running differences which you should be aware of. Restoration is not as simple as copying what is on another car. One has to research what should be on your car, decide what is correct for your car, and then develop the technique to make that happen.

      Paul,

I think there are some clear pictures in Dobbin's '68 to '72 Stingray Fact Book. You might want a copy of it for your library. The CEC solenoid mounts to the front drivers side of the carburetor aluminum base plate. Two bolts hold the bracket that the CEC solenoid mounts to. The two wire harness for it has plastic covered spade connectors at the end. It is part of the starter harness, as I had to get an NOS one as my CEC wiring portion was cut off where it branches out from the main harness portion.

Paul, what's the VIN on your car? I have a 30k mile 71 and it's a late car (148 from the end)--it was somewhat different from #24xx that I had--which wasn't as original. I can send you some photos if yours is a late car--send me your email.
