I am in the process of restoring a 67 coupe Elkhart Blue / Teal and am trying to determine the proper paint mixture for the Dark teal stripe on the hood. The information I have states Dupont 4834-L / Rinshed-Mason A1912 / Ditzler 13348. The people I am dealing with are saying they can't break this down to a mixing formula and are asking for a chip to match instead..can anyone break this down ?

Re: 67 paint codes
Thanks Bill I think there are other issues, the info that I provided came from the 63-67 fact book. I asumed it was correct but under carefull scrutiny you will notice that the dark teal paint code is the same as the Elkhart blue code using the Dupont#. If you look at the Ditzler# it shows the same as the Lyndale. Does anyone have other info for paint codes?- Top

Re: 67 paint codes
Miles,
The fella I know was able to mix touch-up perfectly using the color designation. He's looking into it now, using the maufacturer's designations you mentioned. I think the name of the colors were probably the marketing department getting into the act but the numbers were the industry's way of keeping track.
