Correct WCFB carbs for 56

Can anyone tell me what WCFB carbs would be correct for an April 56 2x4 powerglide car? I am looking for the tag numbers, top plate numbers, body numbers, base numbers, and anything else?

My ignorance on this subject is total.

The info sheets from Gary Hodges show the '56 2x4 carbs are as follows:

2362S Rear, 0-049 main body, 6-1114 (or 6-1122 early) air horn, 1-1387A throttle body.

2419S Front, 0-049 main body, 6-1151 (or 6-1156 or 6-1203 late) air horn, 1-1387A (or 1-1387B late) throttle body.

All 1956 2x4 carbs have idle air bypass screws in the side of the base.

Thanks John, just what I needed. Now, what constitutes early vs. late for a 56? Would this be the change from first design to second design engine? My car definitely had the second design engine.

Ed, As I recall the difference in the first design is primarily found in the air horn details. The fuel intake air horn has a round "knob" where the 5/16" line and brass fitting enters. Also first design there us less "meat" around the choke housing bridge to the air horn . This if from memory and about all I'm capable of at this time. Good luck, Regards, Jim
