The left and right hand door courtesy lights in my 64 are just hanging - no brackets, hoods or anything. I'm sure that that is not the way they left the factory but I can't seem to find brackets from any of the vendors. How are they attached? Also I was trying to get my glove box light to work. Can't find any wires that were used to feed current to the switch. Can I simply tap into the orange wire to the door switch(this wire is hot)and use it? What type of connector was used to attache to the switch? The switch looks like it needs a type of spade ending. The car is an air coupe.
When you examine the ducts, you can see the metal clip riveted to them, with the oblong hole for the courtesy socket. Diagram in AIM UPC C60, sheet A4 & A5.
I'll let others address the glove box light problem.
Re: Clip into under-dash LH & RH air cond ducts
The orange wire goes to the back of the switch light socket. The spade that the wire is attached to forms the socket for the bulb. The switch and socket are all together.
