JOE,

There's no part number on the dipstick at all. An "E" is stamped up high towards the top about 2" down from the handle and thats it other than the sales pitch of Dextron etc.

Can you check this Charcoal Cannister # for me. It's not listed in my GM parts Catalog: "7028131" and a date code (I believe) of '07244".

Are you going to be at Bloomington Gold this year?

GM #7028131 was the charcoal vapor control canister originally used for 1974-76 Corvettes. It's likely original to your car, although it was once available in SERVICE.

I may or may not be at Bloomington. Most likely, I won't be there, though.

Thanks for that Cannister info. Sorry you won't be at the Gold. We live only 40 minutes from St. Charles and go every year, would've like to buy you a beer.

My original 1970 turbo 400 transmission dip stick has a measurement of 23 1/2 inches. This measurement is from the bottom end up to the umbrella tube seal piece or just the length that is actually in the tube. No part number on it.
