C-3 Soft top Frame Dimensions Help

    Hello.

I did a rework of my soft top frame, which included disassembly and reconditioning of the parts. I took some photos prior to the work, so I'd have a reference on how to put it all together again. I used one of the heavy rivet kits available from the vendors. Everything seemed to go back together right, and it seemed nice and tight, not sloppy loose as it was before. After istalling the top frame, I noticed the windows were now not engaging the weatherstrip on the back-top of the windows. I then mounted the hardtop, and everything fit just right, like it always had before. On the top frame, the back upper corners seem pulled inward, and the #2 bow sticks out a bit past the frame each side. I believe I've bent something in this area, or maybe the new frame rivets have tightened up everything, out of alignment. I don't want to just bend this or that until it works, I want to find the source of the problem.

So the question is: Does any one have or know of a source for the correct dimensions of the 69-75 soft top frame?

Information should be in the Assembly Instruction Manual but I couldn't tell you which page. Hope someone else will chime in.

      Ken,
I've searched through my '70 AIM and the 1971 Chassis Service Manual, and found nothing to help.

          Bob------

The soft top assemblies were delivered to St. Louis as a complete assembly from the manufacturer. So, there won't be any information, at all, to be found on them in the AIM. Also, I don't think there was ever much information in the Chevrolet Service Manuals on these, either.
