1974 EGR Valve part # ???

this statement being made by the seller is: Group number is 3.670. Part number on the box is 7040437, also superceded to 17051824. The EGR valve is made by Rochester Products. Number stamped on top of valve is 7040437.

the problem is that i can find no reference in the judging manual or other vette manuals to an egr valve on a 74 at all. there is obviously a place on the intake manifold to bolt one on. any suggestions from anyone? any suggestions on the validity of the above part #?

Chevrolet parts book shows it as 1974 Corvette with 350 engine,California emissions,and automatic trans.It shows part# 17051824 and production# 7040437.Craig

They are listed on page 64 of the judging manual and they are date coded. Their are about 10 part numbers for 74's.

i must have been asleep when i wrote this. it is in the judging manual on page 64 with a part # of 7041409.
