'73 Flashers - Two or One?

The right side turn signals flash fine. The left side don't flash at all and all bulbs are good. I can't imagine that there's a second flasher somewhere for the left side that might be bad, but would that be the situation? If not, other than a bad bulb, any ideas why one side would work and the other won't? Thanks.

Do both lights illuminate, but not flash? If so, you've got the wrong p/n bulb or have it installed backwards. The flasher unit needs to see enough current flow to make it work.

          Flashing

Hello and thanks for the reponses.

I'll see about checking grounds...it would seem it would have to be a ground at the light socket.

          All "running" lights work.

Everything works as it should on the right side....flashing and brake lights.

Everything works as it should on the left side EXCEPT I don't have flashing and don't have the left side brake light. But as I said, the bulbs themselves appear ok.

          Thanks.

            Lonnie -

If you don't have a left side brake light, the bright filament is shot; when that filament is gone, the left side lamps don't draw enough current with the turn signals on to activate the bi-metallic flashing element in the flasher.
