Can anyone help me ID a fan blade that I have? It is a seven blade fan just shy of 18" diameter and the only mark is a letter C stamped onto the circle where the clutch bolts on. This fan came with a few parts that were included when I bought my SB 66 roadster. The former owner thought it was an original BB fan but I have my doubts. I think it might be a new repro but I'd like to know for sure . Thanks for any help.

Re: Seven Blade Fan Original or Repro?
I went through this with my 67 AC car. It also had a seven blade fan on it and I found out it was a 68 and up service replacement for the original fan. One restoration book refers to there being a seven blade fan in 67's in its text, but then in the diagrams refers to the same item as having only 5 blades. A search of that fan part number confirms that it had only 5 blades. This kinda resolved it for me and my 67. However, I believe there is some text suggesting that a seven blade fan was used in 1963. Here is part of my thread discussing this.
I have been reading over and over about which fan blade should be on my car. 1967 vert with 327/300hp with air conditioning, power brakes and power steering. Adams book references two fans 1) 1963 version part number 3789562, which he refers to on one page as a 7-blade fan and on another as a 5-blade fan. Does anyone know which it is?? I'm thinking 5-blade, and 2) 1966 version optional part number 3863137 which is listed as a 5-blade fan. The NCRS Tech Guide states it should be a semi-gloss black steel 5-blade fan with flat button rivets, but gives no part number.
My car currently has a 7-blade fan in it with part number 3931002 which I have found designated as a chevy/corvette 63-68 fan blade SB W/AC. Is this actually for passenger cars or something besides a corvette? Funny thing is the previous owner spent a ton on a perfect repro, numbered and dated radiator and it just seems odd that he got the fan part so "wrong".
Any help clearing this up would be hugely appreciated. I need to know exactly which fan blade I should be shopping for if my 7-blade 3931002 is "wrong". Thanks.- Top

Re: Seven Blade Fan Original or Repro?
Kirk,
See the photo below for my '67 327/300 A/C fan which is 5 blades, the diameter of which I've forgotten. There have been recent posts discussing these fans ... try researching those archived posts.
