70 corvette jack

is a 69 jack the same as a 70? i see some jacks with an A stamped on the top. what do i look for in a correct 70 jack? what years are correct?

There is a date code on the jack, so that limits what you can have if you intend to have your car judged.

Yes. However, other than the date code, the 1969 and 1970 jacks are the same. Also, a jack from a late 1969 might have a date code that would be acceptable for an early 1970.

i can work the date code thing out as long as the jack is the same. the 74 is a 3X and the 69 is a 9D. my car is a june 70 so the 69 is probably too early. but if that 9 were a 0 ...

Sometime after 1972 the size of the date stamp increases.
