Joe,
Can you give me any info. on trans indicator dipstick part # "1244421 M" It's supposedly N.O.S.for a 350 or 400 THM trans. That part number is stamped on the stick itself. The length is 28 7/8" from tip to top. I'm still researching data. No help from the "Corvette Forum" yet.

The GM #1244421 dipstick was used in PRODUCTION for 1974-81 Corvettes for either THM-400 (74-76) or THM-350 (76-81). It was replaced, for SERVICE, in October 1982 by the GM #10017293. The spec that I have for the latter part is 27-5/16", but I don't know just how this is measured. If by "tip to top" you mean from the lower tip of the blade to the very top of the hand-hold, dipsticks are very rarely, if ever, measured in that manner. Usually, they are measured from the tip of the blade to the point where the handle seats on the tube.
