    600 mile 1969 convertible at B-J

Anyone else see the 1969 350/350 convertible with only 600 miles sell last night at B-J? I thought the price was good, and when the hammer fell I fully expected to see the camera show Ed Foss as the buyer.

    Nope.

Pat, what was the lot? 775 is a Mustang coupe.

Did 1969 350/350's come with copper fuel line from the filter to the carb?

...I do not believe the carb fuel line is copper. If you "blow up" the pic, it looks more like a film or light surface rust. The A 212 CW air filter "looks" like more of a "service replacement style" with the punched or stamped metal screen. Certainly not the "wire mesh" or "square mesh" I was expecting to see. I know, I know, it was probably changed due to an "aging" thing.

The air filter may not be a replacement. Some of us believe the original 1969-1972 AC212CW had the expanded metal screen -- different dimensions than the more recent versions of that outer screen. There are a few other tells of original AC212CW filters also, but that could start a whole other thread.

Me believes that original '69's did not come with a CE block either

Well you are right, but! I remember VERY WELL, a classmate of mine bought a new '77 right from the very Chevrolet dealership his family owned. They had trouble with water in the oil from the get-go. No, it didn't leave St. Louis with a replacement block, but it did have a new block before it had 100 miles on it. Wouldn't that get your goat, if you bought a new Corvette and under warranty, all the correct engine numbers went away and you never got to really drive it yet.
