Can anyone shed some light on replacing the shocks on my 1976? Specifically, can I replace one at a time without having the car up on a lift? Any techniques or pointers to keep me OUT of trouble would be appreciated!
You can replace one at a time with no problem, at all. By that I mean you can jack up each corner of the car by itself and replace the shock on that corner. Be extremely cautious that the car is properly supported before you do any work under the car (or, for that matter, even if you don't do any work under the car since you certainly don't want the car to fall off and be damaged).
