I'd like to rebuild the vacuum switch behind the glove box that is used to control the hot water valve for the heater; does anyone know of the size of the O-rings that are in the valve? Since mine was completely deteriorated I couldn't tell if there was one or two O-rings when I took it apart; any help would be appreciated.

Dr. Rebuild has "ditto" procedure on website
I need to tackle mine as well (in pic)
Doc's description implies one flat O-ring originally; replace with round O-ring widely available. But I was a little confused about his description of crimping (which end he was referring to), so I've yet to do anything with it.
Let us know how it went. If you can't find his instructions, I can email.

Re: Dr. Rebuild has "ditto" procedure on website
I managed to get the whole valve apart; the back end prys off, it houses the spring and a small washer; the button head on the actuating side was pulled-off after applying heat; if I can get an O ring of the proper size I'll repair it.- Top

Re: Dr. Rebuild has "ditto" procedure on website
When replacing the fuel line on my chain saw, found it was the perfect size to make a flat style "O" ring for the vacuum switch. These lines are sized in millimeters and can't remember the exact size but I think they were color coded. Mine was a yellowish/green.
