    '67 HOLLEY SECONDARY

i started my '67 327/300 today, and had gas pouring out of the secondaries. So much so, it was shooting out of the carb vent. Any ideas what might cause this? The carb was just rebuilt.

      Keith,

If it is a 3810 (or 3814) where you have to take the rear bowl off to get to the needle seat or adjust the float level, also check for looseness fore and aft in the float pivot. Also bend the float back to the back of the bowl (with clearance to the back). With braking over time, the float tends to drift forward and hang up on the metering plate. If you take a good look, there really isn't much clearance there.

      Hope this helps,
