    Good Vendor for Wiring Harnesses???

    Hello again,
I just got my 65 350hp A/C coupe home from the body shop. I am considering replacing all the wiring harnesses. I have been looking on Ebay for NOS but never seem to find A/C harnesses. I would appreciate your feedback on the Quality and fit and acuracy of any aftermarket wiring harnesses. I have heard that some may use the wrong color wires because they went off the wiring diagrams in the AIM or from some other source that have the colors listed incorrectly. Does anyone know if this is true? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bill

    Bill, try M&H:

M&H Electric Fabricators manufactures a complete line of exact reproduction wiring harnesses, battery cables and switches for GM and Chrysler Muscle Cars.

They supply many of the parts sellers and as I recall have the correct/best metal ends for the cluster bulbs attach.

Lectric Limited seems to be high quality and they build components from original GM blueprints. If your car is judged the wiring harness's hold up well to that scrutiny. Plus they offer a discount to NCRS members. If you have the Driveline magazine check out their ad. Or you can find them on the Web.

          Wiring

          William,
I did not replace my wiring. If I had it to do over- I WOULD!
Replacing the old wiring, even if it appears good, during a restoration is a smart move. Critical components of the wiring, especially the bulkhead connectors, WILL come back to haunt and frustrate you. (as well as cost you money)
The investment in new wires is money wisely spent.
          Good Luck,

I see others have suggested Lectric Limited. I put a harness from this company in my '73. Overall it is a good harness and compared well to the original but it did miss a few details that I found annoying and would cost some judging points. For example, the black wire that connects to the security system switch under the hood on the passenger side did not have a connector leaving me to splice this wire to the last few inches of the old wire with the proper connector still attached.

I used both Lectric Limited and Eagle Product wiring harnesses on my 66 Roadster. Found both to be equally good.

                Thanks Dave,
I have not heard of Eagle products. Do you have contact information for them?
                Thanks again,

It's Eagle Wiring Products. The company is out of Tennessee. You'll have to run your own Google/telephone directory search from there....
