What years were the 63 Casco lighter element used? Thanks for any help john

I can't help you for when it was started, however, my '69 has the Casco 63 lighter element. Also, the receiver has three tabs to hold the element in while it heats. When they changed to two tabs is another question.

John - Casco lighter package Applications Chart shows Corvette '63-'72. Don't know about after '72. Pete

I believe that model Casco element was used through 1975 and, possibly, into 1976 for at least part of the year.

Casco elements of one type or another were used in Corvettes at least through the 2003 model year and, I believe, right through to the present. It's possible, though, that some 1984 Corvettes used a Rochester lighter.
