C4 Cassette Tape Tray

I recently heard that the C4, namely '88 Vette's, came from the factory equipped with a tray in the center console to store cassette tapes. This was apparently only with models that had the UM6 or UU8 options. Can anyone shed some light on the validity of this rumor??

Not just 1988's. The tray was supplied with 1984-89 Corvettes with UM6 or UU8 radios. It was GM #14047474 and it was discontinued from SERVICE without supercession in May, 2000.

Had one in my '84, One in the '85 and have one in the '89
