          Re: Yeah, But

Joe and Jack have it. Hardware like the radiator support, deck hinges, some other under floor brackets are zinc chromate on AOS. This car definitely had black painted parts.

              Re: Yeah, But

I did notice the deck lid hinges too , but how can you be sure they weren't green in a black and white Picture ?

              This contest was UNFAIR !

On a more serious note , What was the windshield frame painted ?

                Re: Yeah, But

The light green zinc chromate shows very light in pictures. That stuff is obviously black.

All of the bird cage was zinc chromate, except those areas that were hit with body paint as a result of the normal painting operation. No intentional further painting of the bird cage except for the Z bar where the data tags were to be attached. That was shot in black.

"Green Chromate paint shows up very light in photos"

Oh !in that case It was a fair Contest !( I always thought so ! I was just Pis###D because I saw that but didn't think it was relevent to AOS vs St. Louis bodies !)

Upon further scrutiny , It appears that the metal frame in the doors was also black rather than green as in AOS cars.

                  Thanks again for the pic,

                  Jim
