65 blue and white interior--code 450--what components are to be what color?
Where is there a listing of same? The JM only indicates carpet color and dash color.
So--dash pads, dash painted area, seats, door panels, console paint--what are blue and what are white?
Thanks!
The convertible should have white quarter trim and white deck lid trim. I believe the coupe headliner and trim parts are also white. Seat belts are supposed to be white too...although that may be the only white combe color to use the white seat belts. Also the sun visors are white.
Mike. I'm currently restoring a '65 red coupe with red and white interior. The interior can be confusing. Here's the breakdown for my car:
Red (blue in your case):
1. carpet
2. dash console
3. dash pads
4. seat belts.
5. shifter console.
White:
1. seats and seat backs.
2. headliner and side trim.
3. halo.
4. front and back window surrounds.
5. quarter panels behind seats.
6. vinyl trim piece below rear glass.
7. interior portion of upper coupe doors.
8. arm rest.
9. door panels.
Convertible Deck Lid Trim Strip......white
Rear Quarter Panels.....two toned, white AND blue,
Coupe Headliner........????
Hardtop Headliner.........all white.
Got a blue/white coupe sitting right here in the shop. Headliner is white. Very rare, big block delete (250 hp) side pipe delete, 4 speed delete, radio delete. NO options
Blue/white interior convertible quarter panels behind seats are white, but the front edge of the body lock pillar into which they nest is two-toned; the inboard side is white, and the outboard side is body color (masking separation line goes down the forward peak of the panel from top to bottom).
Anyone know where to get the current/proper paint color codes for the interior surfaces that are to be painted, i.e. convertible quarter panels, dash side panels, lower windshield surround trim, etc. I need to have paint mixed to do the interior on the '65 convertible that I am restoring. I need black for my car.
Also for all the surfaces that I mentioned above, are all shades the same, i.e. satin, semi-gloss, etc?
John -- in spite of the parts that are white, would the remaining blue interior components still follow the medium blue or medium dark blue categories that apply to a 414 / 415 interior code ?

Select Domestic & Chevrolet. Key in the model year (I just tried 1965 and it's a 'winner').
The paint chips pop up along with paint codes and for SOME years of cars, they've also got page two (or more) of the original paint guide. In this case, page two lists what paints (by code) where used where as well as the appropriate gloss factor to blend them to....
If you do a search, I made a post some time in the last couple of months with the paint # that I came up with by scanning an original radio side panel. It is a PPG # semigloss
