The 5th Edition 1963-64 Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide is at the printer. I suspect the orders currently in house should be filled within 2 to 3 weeks. The new manual is a vast improvement over our past editions. Is it perfect I doubt it, is it better than what we had I am sure it is.
Duane Ravenberg coordinated the new manual and has accepted the position within NCRS as the mid year manual coordinator replacing Dale Fiet, Dale thank you for your years of contribution in this position.
As the 63-634 Team Leader Carlton Colclough spearheaded this rewrite which lay dormant for many years and was severely needed, the rewrite of this manual was discussed in late 2005 and the first meeting regarding this rewrite was held at the National Convention in 2006. Some 18 months after that meeting we have a new manual.
Michael Hanson has been a supporter of the Corvette Hobby for more years than most of us can imagine. Michael was removed from this discussion board many months ago. I’ll take the blame for that, neither Michael nor I will apologize for our actions and the membership should take that as the only answer you should expect and will receive regarding the dismissal or the events leading up to it. Michael continued to work on the 63-64 Manual and provided a tremendous amount of input his effort helped produce the new 5th Edition there are other names on the inside cover that should not be neglected, Marty Fowler was also very instrumental in the new manuals completion. Look over the new manual when you see one of the individuals listed on the inside front cover thank them for there input and effort because without them it would not exist.
With that said Michael Hanson has posting privileges on the NCRS discussion board, if he opts to use them and I certainly hope he does, please welcome him back.
