65 L 78 casting #

my 65 built july 13 the block has been decked so no ### it is a 962 block with the P beside the casting on the bell housing flange its dated d 5 but on the back of the block by the cam plug its cast

PASS

TRUCK in this configuration one above the other ... is this correct????????

thanks thought so but the truck casting thruogh me also would april 65 date on the blockbe correct for a july 13 build

See the two vertical lines protruding in the front of the block? Those are the front gussets.

396 cars with vins in the mid 17000 to early 18000 could be hi per or pass.. whats your vin ?

vin is 21679 built july 13 block was cast on april 15 65

An April block casting date is well within the range of possibility for your car.

An April block should be a pass. But a car built in July as late as 21679 should have a Hi per..That does not mean it couldnt happen .But I think if you trace the history you will find it lost its orig. block.

the block has all three hp pass and truck .... how would a person go about tracking the history in a us built car as there are no records and the car has no build sheet....
