Had a few people ask about the 54 pot lid and 55 to 57 air cleaners they see on e-bay and how to tell original from repro .A brass ring is used at the stud rod hole to hold the inner pieces together on most all air cleaner repro's, like the replacement parts in pic.for the pot type lid.
Original's were spot welded in (Three) spots near the rod hole.
55 to 57 only air cleaner bottoms were painted gray!
