Please help, I tried to install a new E.B. slide, but the new one is hitting a rivited bracket exactly like the old one (it folded in half). I checked my assembly manuel and realized i was missing the console exstenion, so I ordered one from paragon. My console was not made with the slots that I see in pictures, so there is nothing to hold the exstenion in place (does an early 68 use the extension, and what holds it in place). The slots are NOT broke off, also it doesn't look like it would guide my E.B. slide away from future destruction. It's an early 68 convertable, Thanks for any help. Dave F
