    C4 Carpet Question

I have a late C4 with black TruVette carpeting that's looking a bit ragged. I have been unable to find listings of the GM part numbers for the various pieces of carpet. I have seen carpet sets listed in catalogs (the usual suspects) that claim to be "GM Authorized." Other vendors claim that they will score 100% in NCRS judging (beats me how they can guarantee this). I am seeking three pieces of advice from my distinguished fellow NCRS members:

    1) Are there GM part numbers for carpet? If so, is there a catalog (or other source that lists them)?
    2) From those who have had a car (or cars) judged with replacement carpet: does the "GM Authorized" or 100% NCRS Compliant provide any amount of assurance?
    3) Are there any sources for NOS factory fresh late model C4 carpet?

If you have recommendations/suggestions for specific vendors (or bad vendor experiences to relate), please send me a private email.

    Thanx,

    -Floyd-

Not sure how correct they are, but I love the quaility of this company:

Put these in a C4 Driver.

      1) Are there GM part numbers for the carpeting? Of course. The front left side is GM #10238533 and, wonder of wonders, it's still available from GM. The front right side, GM #10238534, is discontinued, though. If your right side is in good shape and all you need is the left side, this might be an option for you. However, if you want to replace both left and right sides, I would not go this way. Even though the carpet is black, the right and left sides might not "match" unless you get both from the same source.

The intermediate carpet is GM #10238510 and the rear carpet is GM #10238543. Both of these are long-gone, though.

      2) Don't know.

      3) You may find some NOS carpet sets on eBay or from sources like Tracy Performance. It's a bit unlikely, though.
