I would say a raised circle around the perimeter of the head with a center headmarking of "C", "M", or "A". Also, the different length bolts (there are 3 different lengths used) may have different manufacturer's ID but all will have the raised circle perimeter configuration.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Not as far as I know. I believe that all 1959+ small blocks use "short", "medium", and "long" bolts. Prior to 1959, I believe that only the "short" and "long" bolts were used. I think that early 1959 with cylinder heads 3748770 or 3755550 used just the two bolt lengths, too.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
