    black out

I was reading the archives and someone said that The black out should fan out at the hinge area, and DOES NOT follow the offset of the hood lip corner line. I am not sure what that means......can some one elaborate on this? Maybe someone has a picture.

    Re: black out

The mask did not go past the hood hindge area on the hood ledge. Therefore the blackout fans out and covers a lot of this area. On the other parts of the hood ledge it is more or less near the crease where the rubber weatherstip goes. It does not however have a fine taped edge but a fuzzy one. Also up near the hood pins there is often an oversprayed spot reaching out beyond the weatherstrip. This looks like a double hump about like two knuckles of the hand would look. I think this was the relief cut out in the mask for the operator to remove it.
