I am looking for someone who can re-do rear springs on a c-1. It appears that they need to be re-arced and have new liners installed. I can buy replacement springs from Corvette Central, but I would prefer to keep the original ones if possible. Thanks for any help.

Re: c-1 rear springs
You're better off freshening up your old springs. They are probably grooved, replacements, aren't, and have the date code on the last spring. Corvette Central has the original type of liners for a 4-leaf and Chicago Corvette has both 4-leaf and 5-leaf correct liners. Find a spring shop to re-arch and you are all set.- Top

Re: c-1 rear springs
Most local "spring shops" will only mechanically re-arch them, and they'll sag again later. To re-arch them correctly, they need to be heated, re-formed, quenched, heated again and slow-cooled, then shot-peened. Eaton Detroit Spring has the facilities and tooling to do this correctly, but it's not cheap. However, if you have the original grooved springs, it's worth it.
