The show is getting off to a grand start. The Field of Dreams is AWESOME. There are quite a number of excellent cars on the Judging field and an overflow of vendors at the swap meet. I will be back tomorrow and Saturday. I commute to the show each day so if anyone is interested I will provide an update.
I wouldn't go so far as to say it is overflowing with vendors. There are a LOT of empty spaces and it isn't that big of a parking lot. There is a parking problem, in that when I arrived this morning, I didn't see anything that said general parking.
Things are just now starting to unwrap, so it will be afternoon Friday and Saturday morning that will be the best for crowds. A lot of the vendor spaces have been shuffled, so you will have to look to find your favorite guys. Some of them seem rather disgruntled by their new locations.
The crowd wasn't big today, either. People drove around in cars and trucks in the aisles without any problems of people being in the way.
The cars for sale have moved from last year. Last year they were tucked behind that little store where no one knew they were there. This year, they are across the road in the front field near the highway. A lot more room and much more noticable to the public, however, the public's parking has now been taken.
Bring your own food on Friday, as it was a bit difficult finding anything today.
Also bring your sunscreen. It was hot and sunny today, a welcome from our recent near freezing temperatures, but definitely the lobster bake for the unsuspecting.
BTW --- what happened to the spell checker on here?
The company that provided the spell check service for free (banner ads), started charging for the service. I took a look at what they were charging and the how much this board used it. I couldn't justify the money.
There a lot of other boards out there with the same problem, so I look for an alternate solution in the not to distant future.
In the mean time you can compose your question or reply in Word, or Word Perfect, spell check it, then cut and paste it into the message box.
Get a dictionary. Amazing what you can learn by just reading one of those things. Spell checkers do not differentiate with regard to word usage.
(Bear - Bare). How about(advise - advice)? Often see those two reversed.
