Left pic is Car // right pic isCorvette // nice to know that the car handle & shaft, aluminum housing, steel holder mount, and many inner parts and clips are the same as Corvette.
The reason the car has four connections is because the top motor runs in two direction back & forward, where as the Corvette top motor runs in only one direction .
L/top toggle switch pic. seats on the gas tank and R/top pic. is the wire and retainer that screws to the top frame=R/S , the wire connects to both( any year soft top frame 56 to 60 "could" have the screw holes for the retainer PT Corvette or not).
L/bottom pic. toggle switch located in the trunk area( all three items are 56 only!
R/bottom pic. is the breaker A40 amp, this little thing is just that a (breaker)people with a power top Corvette have experience the top stopping mid-way Right! Because that breaker gets hot and breaks the hot connection. You waite a while then the top starts working. P/windows connect to the same breaker and can stop working to if it gets to hot.
It took me a while back in the late 60's to understand how to make a PT work and rebuilt many for guys and wrote about them.
roy: i think ya got it wrong. the one on the left is like the switch in my 56 and 57 vette. don 't know what a pass car power top switch looks like so can't comment on what the one on the right is appropriate for. mike
Man I cant tell my left form my right , your right , glad to see you keeping me honest.

Roy, was reading some old info today on power tops which said the early '56 power tops were unique unto themselves. Do you know if that's correct or not? Thanks, Gary....
I still have your handout from Copper Mountain re: power tops. At that time I had an early 56, number something like #479. I am currently getting a power top - power window 60 ready for display at the St Charles meet in St Louis. It has the 40 amp breaker that you display, I also have a 30 amp breaker, what was its application?
